A Venezuelan player was axed by his club after his Panenka penalty was saved in a shootout.Independiente de Campo Grande player Brendix Parra was made to look foolish in the penalty shootout against La Equidad in the Copa Sudamerica.1

He went for a chip to try and beat Diego Novoa but could only hit it against his chest.Independiente were dumped out of the competition and Parra had his contract terminated as a result.
