Chelsea starlet George Nunn took to Instagram to reveal he wears shin pads with Sean Dyche’s face on them.The 17-year-old, who signed his first professional contract with the Blues earlier this week, bizarrely has the Burnley manager’s face under his socks next to the motivational quote: “What I expect is maximum effort.”2

Dyche’s face takes prominence on Nunn’s left shin

The striker has since explained the reason behind the hilarious gesture, claiming his father is a spitting-image of Dyche and the joke has spiralled out of control.Initially, Nunn’s dad would send him inspirational photos of the Clarets boss before a match.2

Former Crewe starlet Nunn who joinedChelseaat Under-16 level said: “My dad was never really big on football but he does look like Sean Dyche, which has become a bit of a long-standing joke between us.“He even started sending pictures of him to me before every game as a sort of good luck message, which I know sounds a bit weird. “My phone would go off in the changing room at Crewe and it would be a picture ofSean Dyche.“Now, instead of him messaging me all the time, I have Dyches face on my shin pads!”

That makes him the second favourite with most bookies with Borussia Dortmund II head coach Jan Siewert just ahead of him in the betting. The Spaniard has only recently left Nottingham Forest after just a year in charge after apparently asking to be released from his contract at the City Ground.
