Aston Villa’s victory over Birmingham will be remembered for all the wrong reasons.The Second City derby was overshadowed by a mindless attack on Jack Grealish by a Birmingham supporter, who ran on the St Andrew’s pitch and punched the Aston Villa man on the back of the head.5

Grealish did splendidly not to react to the incident and the man was swiftly taken away by stewards.#West Midlands police have since confirmed the man has been taken into custody.It was a shocking incident that could have left Birmingham-born Grealish too shaken up to carry on.But the 23-year-old dusted himself off and ended up scoring the winning goal as Villa claimed a 1-0 triumph. Of course, all eyes have been on Grealish and he has posted his first tweet since the incident.And as you can see below, Grealish has tweeted a picture of himself celebrating the goal with the caption: “The cream always rises.”
