Any deal struck is unlikely to reach the levels of the contracts negotiated by Barcelona and Real Madrid, but it is thought they can command a similar or better deal than United currently have.Barcelona agreed an 100million-a-year deal with Nike in 2018 and it is the biggest in football. It eclipsed the 98million-a-year contract Real Madrid struck with adidas in 2015. Liverpool revealed record-breaking financial figures in February as they posted a pre-tax profit of 125million for the year ending May 2018.Any new kit deal of the magnitude talked about would see this figure only increase.
