It boasts the second-largest capacity in Englands top flight, behind Old Trafford and ahead of Arsenals Emirates – but Levy insists the club did not have their north London neighbours in mind. Its nothing to do with Arsenal, he said. All I can say is we wanted to build a stadium that had a minimum capacity of 60,000, and we managed to get it to 62,000. I dont think you can be a big club in a 36,000-seater stadium, Levy added. This is a 62,000-seater stadium – the second biggest in the UK – and I think our fans deserve it, and our players deserve to play in front of a big audience.Im obviously proud, but Im proud for all our fans. I think were delivering something which is great for them, great for our players, and its great for London. This is an iconic stadium.Crystal Palace travel to the impressive new arena tonight4

I take a long-term view. Its very hard to be right at the top, but we are one of the biggest clubs in the world and we will continue growing. We want to be there and we want to win.Despite Levys lofty ambitions, Tottenhams revolutionary new stadium arrives with the club in the middle of their worst run since Mauricio Pochettino took charge. They have taken just one point from their last five league games, falling out of the title race and into a top-four scrap – and Levy hopes the stadium can lift the players to a strong finish.
